Wedding Shoes (I wish!)

So here are some BE-utiful CL's that I would love to wear for the wedding, but the $900 price tag will probably make a couple of people shoot me if I buy them.

But really, aren't they just gorgeous??? Maybe if they go on sale.... ::crossing fingers::

Disneyland!

Here are our 7 year anniversary pics from Disneyland!

Videographer!

So we weren't initially going to hire a videographer but Alex really did want one and he convinced me that we should have one. I did a bunch of research, got about 10 quotes and we finally landed with Los Angeles Wedding and Event. (http://www.la-event.com/). The guy there, Terry, is extremely nice and he is the only videographer that actually called me to follow up. He was also very flexible with what we wanted due to budget restrictions. Yipee!

Wedding Bands

Yesterday I booked our photographer. She is the coolest lady and I am so excited to work with her. I feel like we will be really comfortable with her taking our wedding and e-pics. After my meeting with the photographer Alex and I went to the jewelry district in downtown LA and we picked out our wedding bands!!! I know we are so early doing it but we both knew exactly what we wanted and now we can pay them off and save for the HONEYMOON!!!

I also got 3 HUGE invitation binders from work so Alex and I will look through those tonight and see that kind of invitations we want. I will also be taking them with me this weekend when I visit Jessica and she'll give me her input too :)

Things are moving pretty quickly....

Our Trip to the Four Seasons

Today Alex, my dad and I all went to the Four Seasons (4S) to check it out. We got there a little early and we checked out the beach and the front lawn, I got some great ideas for where to take pictures. Then we met with the wedding coordinator for the 4S and she took us around to go see the locations. We first went into the El Mar room and it is amazing. There are doors that line the room that open up to a terrace with an amazing view of the ocean. We will have these stay open for the reception. What I also liked is that the dance floor is to the side so no one will have to walk through the dance floor to get anywhere.

We then walked to the ceremony site and it was beautiful. Just what I had imagined. I am so happy with the 4S, it is really what I have always wanted. Also, Alex thinks it is great. He thought that it might be too stuffy and fancy but when we went there he didn't get that feeling at all.

YIPEE!!!

Mark your calendars - August 29th!!!!

The classy combo was evident everywhere from the signature cocktail (a mojito) to the cake (featuring brown stripes, polka dots, and fresh green orchids).

Bridesmaids Bouquet
Picking up on the subtle dot motif, the five bridesmaids wore chocolate brown tea-length dresses by BCBG with gold polka dots and a small ribbon at the waist.

Centerpiece Ideas:

The centerpieces were unique and perfectly complemented the polka-dot color scheme. Some of the tables had bouquets of white flowers set in a cylinder of peas, while others had large pillar candles set in the peas.
Centerpieces of green hydrangeas, roses, and kale in green silk–wrapped vases were interspersed with green apples and key limes in clear glass vases. Off-white votive candles completed the look and added romantic ambience.

Favor Ideas:

In keeping with the fall theme, Sylvia and Jimmy gave guests caramel-dipped Granny Smith apples. Each apple was wrapped in clear cellophane and tied with either a brown or green satin ribbon.

A main attraction was the table displaying green apple candles, which acted as place card holders -- Rita cut leaves from green paper which were printed with each guests’ name and table number.
Guests helped themselves to tea pyramid favors, which had been arranged on a separate table set with orange crinkle linens.
